Shiver by Maggie Steifvater (2009)

This is my first review here! xoxo

Grace Brisbane was once bitten by hungry wolves when she was younger. One moment, she saw a yellow-eyed wolf and just stare at it –eyes empty.
Grace was still alive and was in her last year of school. But her fascination towards the yellow-eyed wolf never came to an end. It waited for her to change but Grace never did. On summer, the yellow -eyed wolf transformed into a human, Sam Roth.
It occurred during a near-winter season when Jack Culpepper went missing but after a massive search for his body, it was found and then again went missing from the hospital. And then, Mr. Culpepper and the rest of the town people joined shooting-spree-for-wolves.
Grace found a naked boy outside her house, bleeding and almost lost conscious. Then begin their epic love story.

Review:
I have always been a fan of weird creature falling in love with humans (since the phenomenon of Twilight, I might add) and I can easily relate to all the novels that I have read before this.
Furthermore, Sam was every bit Edward Cullen, being over-protective and he isn’t normal. Grace was every bit Bella Swan, being emo-ly sexy and loves weird creatures. Both parties of novels actually shared the same thing, with the best friend problems, love dilemma and those parents who don’t know that these odd creatures exist.
But the other positive thing that I found in the Shiver was I can pull all-nighter just to read the novel. Yes, I don’t deny that Shiver was in fact (almost) alike like The Twilight Saga, it’s just that, you see, when you say “I love you” to the creature that is you in the inside (just that you don’t shift yet) and the guy was like, “Oh, I’ve been waiting for you since the day you’ve got bitten” was sweet.
Okay, just ignore that. I mean, Twilight may be a very mysterious, sexy and alluring but Shiver makes the readers feel special when they put themselves as Grace.
Only that, Shiver doesn’t have vampires like Twilight has werewolf in it. I wonder, if they’d make a movie for Shiver, I guess (stress on just guessing) maybe Nicholas Hoult (the one from Skins Generation 1 and X-Men: First Class... yes that hottie!) and probably Ashley Benson (from Pretty Little Liars) or Jennifer Lawrence (also from X-Men: First Class) could take the lead role.
Like I stressed earlier: I was just guessing. No, it would be better if they were in it, frankly to say.
